The Conservation, Restoration, and Repair of Stringed Instruments and Their Bows
edited by Tom Wilder
Two maps showing the reduction in area of Brazil's Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest) and the stands of Pernambuco hardwood therein. I used data published by Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística, as well as the patience and generosity of Wm. Wayt Thomas, PhD, Elizabeth G. Britton Curator of Botany, Institute of Systematic Botany, The New York Botanical Garden, who kindly took the time to answer my badgering questions.
The other three maps depict London as it was during the 19th century, for the chapter English Bow Makers of the Dodd and Tubbs Families, by Philip J. Kass. These are based on the 1868 Map Of London by Edward Weller and John Dower of the Royal Geographical Society.
