Part of a series that explores the extraordinary lives of ordinary Canadian men and women, Against the Current follows Dr Boris Ragula, chronicling his wartime experience in Belarus under Soviet and then German occupation, his escape from a German POW camp, his involvement with the Belarussian Eskadron, his flight as a refugee to Belgium, and finally his immigration to Canada and his life as a doctor in London, Ontario. The 208-page book is distinguished by an offsize trim of 6 x 8½ inches. The text is set in 10.5/14 Sabon to a width of 25p6. The FF DIN display was chosen to match the cover, designed by David Drummond.
